Junior Meteorologist Challenge
Saturday, June 3
Two to four (2-4) wolunteers needed for registration and contest.
Duties include sitting at sign-up table, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., helping children ages 7-11 sign-up for their audition time.Limit 75 contestants. First come, first served.
From 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. the children will need to be organized in groups of (5) five, ready on deck to audition as soon as the contestant in front of them is done. Each audition is approximately 30 seconds and goes quickly. The next person in line needs to be off-stage, ready to go.

Children's Hurricane Corner
Four to eight (4-8) volunteers needed, 1-2 per shift. Duties include monitoring children's interactive areas, including 'dress-up' clothes, building blocks, tornado in a jar and coloring.

Speaker Management
One to two (1-2) volunteers needed per shift. Duties include monitoring scheduled speakers. Make sure next speaker is ready 'on deck' to go up at specified time.

Special Needs Visitors
Two (2) volunteers needed per shift. Duties include helping those with special needs, visit exhibitors, be seated during speakerpresentations, etc.

Vistitor Registration and Information Booth
Two (2) volunteers per shift needed to man the Visitor's Information Booth. This booth will serve as a primary report area to Des Companion for anyone with an emergency situation or special need. It will also request expo visitors to fill out a comment card to be used as registrations for door prizes. The Hurricane Guide will be offered as a tool to locate participating exhibitors at the Hurricane/Flood Expo.
