Siesta Beach is located on Beach Road on Siesta Key. The most popular and busiest beach in Sarasota County, also happens to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
At the 'Great International White Sand Beach Challenge', Siesta Beach was recognized as having the "whitest and finest sand in the world." This sand is 99% pure quartz with a very fine grain size, accounting for it's soft texture or 'sugar sand' quality.
Plenty of activities for the sports minded with volleyball courts, tennis courts, ball fields and a fitness trail; or just relax and let the beauty of Siesta lull you away. Group and small sized picnic shelters are available. Come early, the 800 car parking lot fills up fast. Siesta is home base for our beach lifeguard operations.
Beach / Park Facts: 40 acres of land with 2,400 feet of developed sandy beach |
