Effective Monday, October 29, 2007, all City of North Port personnel showing an authorized City of North Port identification card will be allowed to ride SCAT Fixed Route buses without having to deposit a cash fare. SCAT recently extended this offer to Sarasota City employees therefore; it is a natural extension to offer this as a courtesy to out fellow North Port employees.
