Discovering France
“Discovering France” (8 sessions / 2 hours each) is a class designed for people who love France, whether they have already been there or not. This class provides an easy, inexpensive and comfortable way to (re)discover “la Belle France”.
The charm of France comes from its fascinating variety, concentrated on a territory barely bigger than Texas… With me as your guide, you will explore six different regions in France. My goal is to immerse you in the region we are visiting.
This – virtual - tour of France includes a first stop in its capital, Paris. Paris remains an appealing city. And it would be impossible to speak about France without visiting one of the most romantic cities in the world. Then, from Paris, we will have a safe and comfortable “trip” to five other regions: Provence, Burgundy, the Loire Valley, Brittany, Alsace/Lorraine, Aquitaine, and Normandy. Choosing these regions was not easy. I chose spots I know well and that I cherish most.
Each session is based on a Powerpoint presentation and includes many pictures. All these pictures provide a good way to understand more about the landscape, the history and the traditions of the place we are visiting. Extensive comments and funny anecdotes should also pepper the visit.
At the end of the tour, you will have discovered things and spots you didn’t know. And if, by chance, you plan to go or to go back to France, this tour should also help you to decide which places you absolutely want to see.
